MUST BE WILLING TO WORK AT BOTH THE STERLING HEIGHTS AND AUBURN HILLS SITES
45-55 hours a week, 6am-4:30 typical hours. Long term work. Position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control panels and electrical systems used in custom automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint-reading skills, a solid understanding of electrical components, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or automation environment.Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Assemble electrical panels according to UL and company standards
- Mount and wire components such as PLCs, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, HMIs, and power supplies
- Perform point-to-point wiring and cable routing
- Label wires and components accurately according to schematics
- Drill, tap, and modify panel enclosures as required
- Perform continuity testing and verify proper wiring connections
- Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors prior to panel shipment
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes
