Job Title: General Production Worker 2nd Shift (2:30pm-10:30pm)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a crucial role in the production line. Your responsibilities will include assembling materials, operating machines, and inspecting parts before packaging them for shipment. This position offers a variety of tasks, allowing team members to rotate between roles that match their preferences.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production line machinery.
• Assemble components and materials efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure product quality before packaging.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Rotate between different positions on the production line as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, including handling car hoods made of plastic and foam.
• Proven experience in visual inspection for defects such as scratches, paint marks, or dents.
• Demonstrated job longevity with at least 8 months at each of the past three jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operation are advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is a plastic manufacturing setting that can become warm during summer months. Employees work alongside an OP1 with an OP3 overseeing machine operations. The dress code includes work pants, work shirts, closed-toe shoes, and safety glasses. Due to safety protocols, long fingernails are not permitted. Openings are available on the 1st and 3rd shifts, with potential for overtime including early starts, extended shifts, and some Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.95 - $17.05/hr.
