Patient Registration Representative

Grand Blanc, MI
$18-$20/hour | Part-Time | 6-Month Contract with Possible Extension

Our client is seeking Patient Registration Representatives to join their healthcare team in Grand Blanc. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with customer service or medical office experience who enjoy helping people in a fast-paced hospital environment. Schedule

• Part-time (36 hours per week)
• Three 12-hour shifts
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Overtime available after 48 hours

What You'll Do

• Greet and assist patients during registration and check-in
• Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect applicable payments
• Answer questions from patients and visitors in person and over the phone
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in patient registration, hospital admissions, medical office, insurance verification, or a related healthcare setting
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

Preferred

• Experience using EPIC
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Insurance payer systems experience
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
