The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, verifying approvals, and scheduling vendor payments.
• Handle accounts receivable, including generating invoices, monitoring collections, and applying cash receipts.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and submitting payroll taxes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Track and reconcile inventory costs and raw materials specific to manufacturing operations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and basic cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with intercompany transactions or multi-entity accounting structures.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
