What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney Columbus is at the core of military and commercial engine applications production with the manufacture of forgings for disks. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspectors. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance within inspection operations and meeting customer expectations through on-time delivery while working to drive efficiency into the quality inspection processes.

  • Ensure the safety of employees by driving a safety-first culture

  • Enable the inspection team by providing training and development; leading a team that is empowered to make decisions that meet safety quality delivery and cost objectives

  • Identify opportunities for documentation of quality requirements to establish and implement improvements

  • Investigate new and improved methods of inspection that can be used to improve efficiency and reduce cost

  • Promote transparency in quality operations performance and plans to address gaps in meeting daily business objectives

  • Collaborate with the quality engineering and manufacturing engineering teams in addressing quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities; lead the working team to develop continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and meet customer objectives

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering manufacturing operations management quality or closely related field or an Associates degree and 4 or more years of experience in n engineering manufacturing operations management quality or closely related field

  • In absence of a degree High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 6 or more years of experience in an engineering manufacturing operations management quality or closely related field

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity

  • Experience with SAP and Solumina

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous improvement/Lean concepts

  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection

  • Prior experience in Engineering/Production Quality Engineering CMM Quality CNC Machining or Quality Inspection

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
