Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for completing the work of removing/excluding unwanted animals according to customers work orders, conducting remediation activities and putting preventative measures in place. This position will work as part of a team on large jobs or complete individual jobs. The Technician 1 also provides coaching and leadership to the Tech 2 they work with on a daily basis.
Work Location: Local travel and Potential overnights/out of state work
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday and Weekends as needed.
Reports To: Service Director Essential Job Functions:
Technical Work & Safety: 90% (approx. 36 hrs/wk)
- Make sure proper notes and pictures are put in work orders on Service Bridge.
- Remove unwanted animals according to customers’ work orders, conducting remediation activities and putting preventative measures in place.
- Inspect completed job for quality and completion.
- Maintains quality results by adhering to company standards.
- Maintains safe work habits by following company standards.
- Operate and maintain service vehicle and equipment safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
- Maintain clean/safe job sites. Make sure all tools and trash are cleaned up and on the truck.
- Tech 1 will coach Tech 2 and new employees on proper use of the company supplied safety equipment (harnesses, proper anchor point installation)
- Tech 1 will coach Tech 2 in ladder and roof safety on job sites
- Provide the customer with world class customer service.
- Address customer questions and concerns.
- Always be courteous and polite.
- Have a world class appearance and ensure vehicle also has world class appearance.
- Minimum Tech 2 training certifications
- Learning Zen Tech 1 learning path
- NWCOA Structural Bat Management Professional
- NWCOA Bird Management Professional
Required:
- Customer-focused and great customer service skills to ensure satisfaction.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Construction skills. Competent with hand tools, minor roofing, and exterior repairs
- Ability and comfort with discussing additional services that meet customer needs.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills as you interact with customers, office staff, and service managers.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, including, but not limited to monthly courses pertinent to the industry.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- 1-6+ years company or related experience

- Physical stamina to work in periodically harsh conditions as the nature of the job demands.
- Bending, kneeling, and crawling into tight spaces to carry out site work. Requires standing for a long period of time. Ability to safely use ladders and work at heights for long periods of time.
Travel: Some local travel required. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass motor vehicle record search and have and maintain a good driving record that is acceptable to our insurance company.

~Construction/handyman skills (drills, saws, caulk gun, etc) (Prefer 2 year minimum)
~Pass a Background Check & Drug Test including marijuana
~Valid Driver License & clean driving record is required
~ Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
