Salary Range: $46,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines according to specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Monitor EDM machine operations, adjusting parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Load, edit, and optimize EDM programs to achieve desired part geometries and surface finishes.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM equipment.
• Select and prepare appropriate electrodes and tooling for specific job requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for quality inspection.
• Ability to set up, program, and troubleshoot EDM equipment and processes.
• Strong understanding of EDM principles, electrode fabrication, and material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAM software used for EDM programming.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on EDM equipment.
• Participation in continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, 5S) initiatives.
