Job Title: Business Analyst ScrumMaster (Azure DevOps)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid On-site Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8 hours/day)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in Agile project environments to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to gather, document, and communicate clear, testable business requirements, and will act as ScrumMaster using Azure DevOps . This role involves collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community to ensure successful delivery of State of Michigan projects.

The candidate should reside within one hour of Lansing, MI and be available to work on-site every Tuesday and Wednesday .

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and maintain clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements aligned with project objectives and State of Michigan policies.

• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders and project team members to identify impacted business processes and ensure comprehensive documentation.

• Serve as ScrumMaster for Agile projects, maintaining the project backlog, prioritizing tasks with the Product Owner, and ensuring adherence to the project schedule.

• Collaborate with project teams including UI/UX architects, developers, QA testers, and database administrators to ensure proper understanding of requirements, functionality, and scalability.

• Analyze existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems to guide the development of system functionality and enhancements.

• Support information governance objectives and ensure stakeholders are aware of data requirements.

• Assist in Build vs. Buy decisions by providing information and analysis.

• Monitor project scope and requirements changes , evaluating their impact on business outcomes and project benefits.

• Ensure SEM deliverables for the Business Analyst role are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with organizational processes.

• Provide resolution for critical IT issues pertaining to the BA role and maintain adherence to project goals and timelines .

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in IT projects.

• Experience with Quality Assurance processes and understanding of BA, QA, and Development roles .

• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps (epics, features, user stories, project lifecycle).

• Experience in process mapping (As-Is / To-Be), content creation, and product roadmap development .

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management best practices.

• Skilled in BA tools such as FIGMA and Visio .

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders .

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Must be on-site in Lansing, MI on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (8 hours/day) .
