Position Details
SUMMARY:
The Director of IT will create, lead, and support a customer-friendly, responsive, and highlyskilled technology environment of day-to-day support of various computer technologies, including, but not limited to, software, workstations, labs, peripherals, and mobile devices of the
students and staff.
The Director of IT will operate in an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative environment. The Director will establish and maintain a positive, professional, and productive working relationship with all staff, students, and community, building and maintaining a positive reputation for the IT
team and its services.
The Director of IT will be capable of working with LISD and constituent local district leadershipand Boards of Education to provide high-level IT programs and services in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information technology, education, or a related field
Minimum five (5) years of information technology experience, with increasing levels of responsibility
Demonstrated experience with technology planning and implementation
Understands people and systems
Demonstrated ability to function well in an agile environment
Demonstrated, successful experience leading and managing projects
Preferred:
Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience
Master’s degree, preferably in information technology, education, or a related field
ITIL certification
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license
Other technology certifications as required by the Supervisor for efficient and competent
administration of current technology applications
