Technical Writer

We’re looking for a Technical Writer with experience in WCAG accessibility standards to create clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain user guides, help content, release notes, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all content complies with WCAG 2.1/2.2 , Section 508, and accessibility best practices.
• Review and revise existing documentation to improve accessibility and clarity.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to gather information and simplify complex concepts.
• Apply inclusive language and plain‑language principles.
• Create and maintain accessible documentation templates and style guides.
• Test documentation formats (PDF, HTML, Markdown) with assistive technologies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
