Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify adherence to specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately, including identification of non-conformances and generation of quality reports.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality specifications to ensure product compliance.
• Segregate and identify non-conforming materials, initiating proper disposition procedures.
• Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections according to established quality plans.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Understanding of quality control principles, inspection methods, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a quality assurance or inspection capacity.
• Demonstrated meticulousness and strong attention to detail in identifying defects and verifying specifications.
• Ability to utilize quality management software, spreadsheets, and other computer tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
• Experience interpreting 3D CAD models for inspection planning
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software
• ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector or Technician)
• Familiarity with non-contact measurement techniques (e.g., laser scanning, optical comparators)
