Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks dedicated Special Education Teachers to support middle school students in an engaging, supportive learning environment. Two full-time contract positions are available for the school year in Sterling Heights, MI.

The first position focuses on English Language Arts instruction and requires a BA in English (ELA) or a Language Arts (BX) or Reading (BT) certificate appropriate for the grade band. Candidates must also hold at least one special education endorsement such as Autism (SV), Cognitive Impairment (SA), Emotional Impairment (SE), or Learning Disabilities (SM).

The second position emphasizes Mathematics instruction with a Mathematics (EX) certificate required alongside at least one special education endorsement from the same list above.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a full caseload of approximately 20 students with diverse special needs
• Delivering a full course load of five classes, which may include co-teaching
• Providing one advisory class to support student development
• pleting a daily work schedule from 8:05 a.m. to 3:05 p.m., including a 30-minute duty-free lunch
• Participating in 15 minutes of assigned duty time before or after school as determined by school leadership
