Dynamic Underground is a growing underground utilities contractor specializing in excavation and directional drilling . As our company continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Construction Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, job costing, and accounting functions to support our continued growth.

Position Overview

The Construction Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including construction accounting, job cost tracking, financial reporting, and budgeting . This role works closely with ownership and project management to ensure accurate financial oversight of projects and company operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee construction accounting and financial management
• Manage job costing, project budgets, and cost tracking
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Monitor project profitability and financial performance
• Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
• Improve and maintain financial systems and internal controls

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or project-based accounting
• Strong understanding of job costing and construction financial management
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple financial responsibilities in a growing company
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Experience

• Background in construction, excavation, civil, or underground utilities
• Experience with project cost tracking and financial reporting for multiple jobs
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or other construction accounting systems
