Survey Project Lead - Utility

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Utility Locating Project Lead to support projects in your area and nationwide. Job Summary :

The Utility Locating Project Lead manages and executes land survey projects, primarily on utility locating, from start to finish. This role involves a range of tasks, including client management, financial oversight, budget proposals, and technical expertise. The Project Lead must coordinate data collection, analyze results, and present findings to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management : Plan, execute, and oversee survey projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Data Collection Coordination : Manage the distribution and collection of surveys and utility locating.
• Report Preparation : Prepare detailed reports and presentations, communicating survey findings to stakeholders.
• Budget proposals : Estimating and putting together budgets and proposals
• Financials : Managing financials throughout the projects.
• Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholder communications regarding project status, findings, and recommendations.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure the accuracy and integrity of survey data and follow best practices for data management.
• Continuous Improvement : Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of survey projects.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant field such as business, statistics, social sciences, or market research.
• 5-plus years of experience in the surveying and/or private utility locating and or SUE industry.
• Must have a strong understanding of all aspects of the Private utility locating/SUE profession.
• Previous experience in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in survey software and data collection equipment.
• Must have a strong background in project management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
