Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines, including wire and sinker EDMs.
• Load and verify CNC programs, adjust machine parameters, and select appropriate electrodes or wire.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM equipment.
• Load and unload workpieces, ensuring proper clamping and alignment.
• Maintain accurate production records, quality logs, and material traceability.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Wire or Sinker) machines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) for quality inspection.
• Ability to load, edit, and troubleshoot machine programs (G-code) and make necessary offsets.
• Strong understanding of EDM principles, electrode selection, and workholding techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for electrode design or complex part programming.
• Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or advanced metrology tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
