About this position:
LMCU is currently looking for a Card Services Specialist to join our team. This Card Services Specialist I role requires a deep understanding of credit union products and services, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Card Services Specialist I assists staff and members with account and card questions; control issuing, blocking, or renewal of credit cards/ATM cards/Debit cards as well as reviewing charges to determine fraudulent activity.
What you’ll do:
- Assists members and staff with their telephone requests regarding card servicing; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- Prevents fraud by correctly identifying members using call identification procedures. Report any suspicious activities or potential security breaches to the appropriate personnel.
- Provides members with information and direction regarding their account status, requests, payments, and rights and obligations associated with the account.
- Actively participate in employee-led coaching sessions with supervisors, while taking ownership of personal coaching goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework or banking experience is a plus.
