The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot precision measurement equipment, gauges, and CMMs.
• Perform detailed dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology tools.
• Analyze measurement data, interpret engineering drawings, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Support manufacturing and quality control teams with metrology expertise and data interpretation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain metrology procedures and best practices in accordance with industry standards.
• Conduct Gage R&R studies and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to assess measurement uncertainty.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proficient understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating and calibrating a wide range of precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages).
• Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including operation, setup, and basic programming.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report measurement data using metrology software and standard office applications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and calibration standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software and data analysis.
• Familiarity with CAD software for model interpretation and feature extraction.
• Involvement in metrology process improvement initiatives or procedure development.
