Plant Health Care Technician
Responsibilities - Perform safe and efficient application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.
- Evaluate job sites for pests, insects, weeds, and diseased vegetation.
- Mix, fill, load, deliver, apply, and store chemicals properly.
- Maintain and repair equipment such as hydraulic sprayers and blowers.
- Document pesticide application use records in compliance with laws.
- Provide fertilization, weed, pest, and fungi controls on client properties.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with company standards and legal codes.
- Communicate with clients regarding diagnosis and prescribed services.
- Monitor pest control and fertilizing methods post-application.
- Drive and operate truck and sprayer equipment safely.
Qualifications
- One year of professional experience in diagnosing and treating plant issues preferred.
- Valid chauffeur license required.
- State of Michigan Applicators license 3A, 3B, and 6 required.
- Strong understanding of plant biology and pest life cycles.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
