CNC Programmer/Machinist

CNC Programmer/Machinist Location Sterling Heights, MI : Job Summary Eagle Masking & Fabrication inc is looking for an experienced CNC Operator who can run a variety of CNC machines and help to enhance the productivity of our organization. The successful candidate will perform work quality checks and monitor machine output and generate comprehensive reports for management. Job Responsibilities: Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Programs 3 axis mills by utilizing Siemens NX, Gibbs Cam Familiar with a variety of 3 axis mills including Makino, Fadal, YMT. Sets-up mills by utilizing a variety of work holding tools, vices, clamps, etc. Loads all necessary tooling into ATC and sets up all offsets/cutter heights. Knowledge of building and maintaining injection molds will be helpful. Knowledge of machining aluminum, P20, Mild steel injection molds. Knowledge of machining a variety of Weldments. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Communicates with tooling & equipment suppliers, orders necessary tooling, and work holding equipment to complete the task. Works well with others, and directs/educates CNC operator/assistant. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Job Skills: ~ High school diploma/GED required ~3-5 years' experience using production machinery ~ Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation required ~ Program experience ~ Must possess strong basic math skills ~ Proven history of working with gauges and calipers Pay wage depended on experience.
