Job Title: Welder Fitter

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter
• Our team offers flexible scheduling
• This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, communicating directly with engineering when necessary, and working with minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly
• Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies using pre-cut steel plates
• Communicate directly with engineering as required
• Use forklifts and overhead cranes proficiently
• Operate overhead cranes up to 50-ton capacity and fork trucks
• Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Collaborate with AWS certified welders to complete welding tasks
• Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments

Essential Skills

• 5 years of blueprint reading experience
• Experience with 1-inch plate fitting and welding
• 5 years of Flux Core/MIG welding experience
• 5 years of fitting experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of WATERFORD, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
