Phlebotomist Float

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in St Clair Shores, MI.

$1500.00 Sign On Bonus (External applicants only)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 hr shifts between 7:00a.m. – 6:30p.m. with rotating Saturdays working either 7:00a.m. – 1:30p.m. or 8:00a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week. The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
• 1+ years of experience preferred

Additional Job Standards:

• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years’ old
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
