The Role:
The Global Supply Chain (GSC) Coordinator will support relationship with the logistic suppliers and service providers. This position is responsible for managing schedules and material flow from suppliers. This role requires the ability to this both strategically and tactically while also working with all departments and levels of leadership.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides of one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out.
Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies.
Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain (Material, Packaging, Industrial) or equivalent.
2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing
Ability to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed
Experience coaching, teaching, and mentoring employees.
Experience managing/leading teams.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with others.
Strong analytical, computer, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions when dealing with ambiguity.
High level of analytical ability & problem solving where problems are unusual and difficult.
Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes.
Knowledge of supply chain process.
High level of communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to present findings to all levels of the organization.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Proficient use of MGOC
Experience working with Excel
Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Project, Word, and Power Point).
3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing
Track record of implementing continues improvement initiatives.
