Human Resources Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
• Assist with onboarding new employees, including required paperwork and system setup
• Enter and update employee information in HR and payroll systems
• Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
• Support compliance with company policies, labor laws, and reporting requirements
• Assist with employee questions related to payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and HR policies
• Help coordinate employee communications, policy updates, and HR-related notices
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
• Assist with workers’ compensation, unemployment, and other employment-related documentation
• Support HR projects and provide information as requested

Payroll Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
• Review and verify employee timecards, hours, deductions, and payroll changes
• Enter payroll adjustments, bonuses, reimbursements, and other payroll-related items
• Assist with union payroll reporting and related documentation
• Prepare, submit, and reconcile union benefit reporting, including benefit contributions, dues, hours worked, and related payroll documentation
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries, including wages, taxes, benefits, deductions, and related payroll accruals
• Prepare and maintain payroll records in compliance with company policy and applicable laws
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Assist with payroll tax, benefit deduction, and garnishment processing
