We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile IT Support Technician to be the primary point of contact for all technical needs across our organization's various locations. This is a crucial role requiring a blend of skills, from physical infrastructure and endpoint troubleshooting to modern cloud administration and specialized software support. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical acumen, a commitment to finding the best long-term solution (not just the fastest fix), and a focus on outstanding end-user satisfaction .

Core Responsibilities & Technical Skills

1. Desktop, Hardware & End-User Support

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users (Tier 1/2 support).
• Provide expert support for Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office/365 suite.
• Perform routine PC lifecycle management, including new system deployment, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Utilize disk imaging and deployment tools and perform basic recovery measures for non-bootable PCs.
• Backup end-user profiles and data as part of standard operating procedures.
• Manage endpoint security, including working with and maintaining hard drive encryption (e.g., BitLocker).
• Support and maintain conference room Audio/Visual (AV) equipment .

2. Cloud, Domain & System Administration

• Perform specific Azure management tasks, including adding or removing computers from the domain, device enrollment, and end-user access management.
• Manage email accounts (creation, deletion, distribution groups) within the O365/Exchange environment.
• Work with physical servers within the server room for hardware maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Assist with user provisioning, license management, and security group administration.

3. Networking & Infrastructure

• Possess a solid understanding of network essentials , including cabling, switching, routing concepts, and the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Execute network cabling and wiring tasks, including pulling, termination , and testing copper and fiber connections.
• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN and wireless infrastructure.
• Must be comfortable working in the Cisco IOS command line and understand basics of routing, vlans and general networking standards.

4. Specialized Software Support

• Provide technical support and licensing management for common CAD and Manufacturing software . Familiarity with the following applications is helpful:

  • CATIA
  • Autoform
  • Autodesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor)
  • Spinfire

Requirements

• Proven experience (2 years) in a desktop support or IT generalist role or degree in IT related field.
• Must be able to drive between sites (reliable transportation required).
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 40 lbs) and work comfortably in a server room environment.
• Relevant industry certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365) is a plus.
