Salary Range: $59,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Design and optimize toolpaths for efficient material removal and surface finish.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and machining parameters (feeds, speeds).
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine machining requirements.
• Perform post-processing to generate machine-specific G-code.
• Test and debug CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired part specifications.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve manufacturing challenges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience programming 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
• Expertise in G-code and M-code programming, with strong manual editing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, cutting parameters (feeds/speeds), and various material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating CNC mills.
• Proficiency with G-code simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with multi-axis (4- or 5-axis) CNC programming.
