Journeyman Machine Repairman - Whitehall, MI

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Machine Repairman to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Whitehall, MI. This role involves machine repair, including troubleshooting, tearing down, rebuilding, and installing various machinery such as CNC machines, metal stamping, plastic injection, and more. You will also handle repairs on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, grinders, and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Tear down, rebuild, and install machinery including CNC, metal stamping, and plastic injection equipment.
• Perform maintenance on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, grinders, and automation systems.
• Engage in welding and rigging of machinery when necessary.
• Collaborate with a Journeyman Electrician to ensure effective machine maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with team members in a union facility.
• Be open to working one weekend a month for coverage.

Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Card Preferred
• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in machine repair and industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with rigging machinery.

This is a Contract position based out of Whitehall, MI.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
