Title: Allison Parts Wash Tech

Department: Allison Department

Reports to: Allison's Supervisor

Working Hours: 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (½-hour unpaid lunch)

Job Summary / Objective of Job

This is an entry-level position focused on washing internal and external parts in Allison transmissions. Attention to detail is critical; parts must be cleaned, wiped down, and properly stacked on a production cart. This role may also involve supporting additional duties in the Allison Disassembly Area.

Essential Job Functions

• Wash internal and external transmission parts



• Perform case washing duties



• Operate sandblaster and media blaster



• Unload machines and move materials between work areas



• Maintain quality control and support process flow



• Use hand tools and pneumatic tools as needed



• Identify units accurately using work orders



• Cross-train on alternate assignments as needed



• Support other duties within the Allison Disassembly Area

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent



• 1 to 2 years of previous Allison experience preferred, but not required

• Experience with production processes and operating basic tools/machinery



• Basic mechanical knowledge



• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills



• Ability to stay goal-focused in a fast-paced environment



• Knowledge of department-specific safe work practices

Physical Demands
