Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time
Location: Menominee, MI
Facility: Menominee Health Services
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Continuum Therapy Partners is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Menominee Health Services in Menominee, Michigan.
This full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant opportunity offers the chance to provide meaningful patient care in a supportive, collaborative skilled nursing facility where your clinical expertise makes a daily impact.
As a COTA , you will work alongside a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy treatments that help adult and geriatric patients improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional abilities and independence.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, coordination, strength, cognition, and safety awareness.
- Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to support patient goals.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation according to company, state, and federal guidelines.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy services.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Michigan Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required.
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
