Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and current Michigan special education teaching licensure required
• Previous experience with middle school-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom settings
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions tailored to students’ IEPs and unique learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to ensure student success
• Assess student progress and document data effectively to inform instruction and comply with regulations
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
• Implement classroom management strategies that support positive behavior
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions as required
