Legal Processing Supervisor
Summary
Better Life Plans is seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Processing Supervisor to lead our document processing team within a fast-paced legal operations environment. This role oversees the accurate handling of legal documents such as stipulated agreements, summons and complaints, and related court filings. The Supervisor will manage day-to-day team operations, ensure task completion across multiple systems, and support continuous improvement in legal workflow processes.
Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage daily workflows related to legal document processing, including lawsuit intake, court correspondence, and client communications.
· Supervise the opening, sorting, scanning, and distribution of inbound mail and the accurate preparation of outbound mail.
· Ensure timely and accurate entry of data across multiple platforms, including internal CRM systems and third-party legal software.
· Monitor and confirm that all legal documents and tasks are processed in accordance with internal timelines and client requirements.
· Develop, deliver, and maintain training materials and documentation for new and existing team members.
· Conduct quality reviews of case folders and workflows to ensure compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
· Track, update, and distribute daily and weekly processing reports and KPIs to leadership.
· Analyze department metrics to identify trends, address performance issues, and suggest process improvements.
· Collaborate with internal teams, partner organizations, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and optimize efficiency.
· Lead team-building activities and cross-functional training to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
· Demonstrate company core values, professionalism, and a proactive leadership presence at all times.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
· 2+ years of experience in processing, data entry, document auditing, or quality assurance.
· 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
· Strong understanding of legal documents related to debt collection or civil litigation is highly desirable.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Professional verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to effectively train others and give constructive feedback.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
· Comfortable using CRMs, document management systems, and legal/third-party processing platforms.
· Ability to learn and adapt to new technology quickly.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, BA preferred or equivalent experience and/or related training. 2 years’ experience in processing, data entry, document auditing, or quality assurance preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Advanced – Effectively communicate both verbally and in written format. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATH ABILITY:
Basic – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Intermediate – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
COMPUTER SKILLS :
Computer skills needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job are as follows: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer/internet navigation.

Compensation - $48,000 annually
Schedule - Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:30pm EST
