Merit is a contract manufacturer that makes personal care products, cleaning products, and much more. We formulate, mix, bottle, and ship products for nationwide brands.

Merit is located in Warren, Michigan, where we have two facilities less than a mile apart. We've poured over 15 million products and served over 13 million end users. Our continued growth has forced us to move locations 3 times in the last 3 years, and while we don't expect to need a new warehouse soon, we aren't planning to slow down.

Summary of the Position:

We're looking for a tradesman with experience with manufacturing equipment who can manage and maintain our production lines and other equipment. This position includes performing preventative maintenance checks daily, maintaining an inventory of essential maintenance parts, and assist with proper setup of production equipment.

This position will work with management and consultants on identifying and sourcing the equipment needed to improve our production capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Daily preventative maintenance of production equipment
• Maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts
• Light electrical work
• Light plumbing work
• Interfacing with third-party tradesmen or consultants

Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Experience with commercial filling equipment
• Basic electrician knowledge
• Basic plumbing knowledge
