Job Description

The Director of Wireless Intrusion Detection (WIDS) within Oracle Global Physical Security will lead the development, delivery, and ongoing management of comprehensive technical security programs, focused principally on deploying Bastille Wireless Intrusion Detection (WIDS) and fiber monitoring solutions at Oracle's hyperscale data centers globally. This strategic role is responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing end-to-end counter-surveillance and technical monitoring initiatives that safeguard Oracle's physical and information assets. The program emphasis connects the dots between diverse security signals-proactively identifying, mitigating, and monitoring threats to ensure Oracle's executives, employees, clients, contractors, and customers are protected at the highest standards.

This position partners closely with global business, engineering, and security stakeholders to implement innovative monitoring and counter-surveillance technologies, develop robust processes, and deliver outcomes aligned with enterprise priorities. The ideal candidate combines deep technical and investigative expertise with proven technical program management acumen in continuously evolving, large-scale environments.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and leads the global program for Wireless Intrusion Detection and fiber network monitoring, ensuring design, deployment, and ongoing management meet hyperscale data center and inter-data center security requirements.

  • Establishes end-to-end program strategies and roadmaps for technical counter-surveillance and intrusion detection, including business needs analysis, technology integration, process development, implementation, and continuous improvement.

  • Appoints cross-functional resources, oversees large-scale project plans, and drives execution to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.

  • Collaborates across technical, engineering, business, and external partners to design and implement comprehensive counter-surveillance and monitoring solutions that "connect the dots"-integrating intelligence from various sources to detect and mitigate threats in real time.

  • Conducts and /or oversees technical security sweeps, investigations, and assessments at Oracle data centers globally, with a focus on countering wireless and fiber-based threats.

  • Develops and maintains technical security and incident tracking systems, program dashboards, and analytic tools to monitor detection program effectiveness and threat trends over time.

  • Provides mentorship, technical guidance, and professional development for team members on counter-surveillance methodologies, technical security investigations, and program delivery best practices.

  • Drives cross-functional change management to integrate new security technologies and processes into global data center operations, ensuring alignment with Oracle business, risk, and compliance objectives.

  • Represents Oracle in interactions with internal stakeholders, as well as trusted external entities (industry peers, vendors, law enforcement, professional associations) on matters of wireless intrusion detection and fiber monitoring.

  • Reports to the Snr Director of Risk and Investigations, and partners with the Director of Technical Investigations, Director of Investigations, Physical Security Systems Architect and VP of Datacenter Security to ensure the technical security program aligns with other GPS initiatives and Oracle's overall risk management strategy.

  • Outside of Global Physical Security this role may interact with Legal, Human Resources, OCI Software and hardware delivery team or other lines of business both external and internal.

  • Maintains and manages budgets for WIDS and fiber monitoring program delivery, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic goals and operational effectiveness.

Program Management Responsibilities:

  • Owns the end-to-end delivery of Bastille WIDS and fiber monitoring solutions: from shaping the technical and organizational approach through stakeholder alignment, technology integration, execution, and operationalization.

  • Utilizes recognized program and project management methodologies to ensure timely, on-budget, and scope-aligned program implementation.

  • Coordinates with global teams to manage dependencies and risks and drive accountability for defined outcomes, with regular status updates and executive communications.

  • Tracks business needs, program progress, and critical actions-surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and influencing program course as required.

  • Champions a culture of continual improvement for physical security detection programs, seeking innovative approaches to meet evolving threat landscapes.

  • Travels globally as required to oversee program rollout, assessments, and incident response support for Oracle data center operations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years' experience in government, industrial, or corporate security (with a mix of technical and program management roles), including a minimum of 5 years in leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience building and delivering large-scale technical security programs in complex, globally distributed enterprise or hyperscale environments.

  • Deep technical proficiency in wireless detection, fiber/cyber-physical monitoring, and counter-surveillance tools and methodologies.

  • Proven expertise leading major technical implementation projects with cross-disciplinary teams, driving outcomes through influence and strategic planning.

  • Experience utilizing electronic instruments, network diagnostic equipment, and data analysis tools for security monitoring and response.

  • Strong program, project, and change management skills-experience with industry standard tools and methodologies.

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex technical information to broad audiences, including executive briefings and technical documentation.

  • Track record of building relationships and collaborating across teams to achieve challenging objectives in dynamic environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with program management and security analytics platforms preferred.

  • U.S. Passport required; ability and willingness to travel globally.

Education and Certifications:

  • BA or BS Degree preferred.

  • Program/project management certifications or security industry credentials (PMP, CPP, CTM, etc.) are highly desirable.

  • TSCM Fundamentals Certification by the Interagency Training Center (ITC) is highly preferred

  • Industry certifications are preferable but not required (e.g. Network+, Security+, CASP, PenTest)

  • PDTG Technical Security Specialist (TSS) Certification and/or Kestrel Operator Certification is desired but not required
