ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Iron Mountain, MI 49801 (Upper Peninsula, Michigan)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2160 - $2210
• Healthcare Setting: ICU & IMC (Intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Care Unit)
• On-site Nursing Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Travel nursing experience required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to float to Medical-Surgical (MS/Tele), IMC, and Emergency Department (ED) units as needed
• Must complete compliance requirements promptly (labs, credentialing, fingerprinting, etc.)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to ICU and IMC patients, including tele monitoring
• Perform bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET communication, and conduct hourly rounding
• Float to other inpatient units as required (first to float)
• Manage ventilated patients, central lines, arterial lines, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and IV sedation/paralytics
• Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care using Paragon/Allscripts (acute care) and T-System (ED)
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
