Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $41,000 - $61,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Kentwood that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Prepare, package, label, and load outgoing finished goods for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Complete and process all necessary shipping and receiving documentation.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving dock areas for efficiency and safety.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with shipments.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and standard office software.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack), with certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping, documentation, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, freight documentation, and carrier logistics.
Bonus Qualifications
- Forklift certification and operating experience
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Familiarity with international shipping documentation and customs procedures
- Proven experience with cycle counting and physical inventory processes
