Deputy Finance Director
The City of Novi is seeking an experienced and collaborative Deputy Finance Director to join our Finance Department leadership team. This position plays a critical role in upholding the City's commitment to Team, Commitment, Innovation, and Trust , ensuring that our financial operations support high-quality service to the community.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Deputy Finance Director oversees daily accounting operations and ensures timely monthly and year-end closings for all funds. Among their duties, the Deputy Finance Director prepares essential audit documentation, supports grant administration, collaborates across departments, and serves as Acting Finance Director when needed.
In carrying out these responsibilities, the Deputy Finance Director models Novi's values by fostering a supportive team environment, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining transparent, trustworthy financial practices.
To be a Deputy Finance Director, the candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and have at least 5 years of related experience. Municipal government experience is highly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits: $92,036 - $110,443, depending on qualifications
