The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for manufacturing operations, including COGS, labor, and overhead.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts for production, sales, and expenses.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual financial performance to budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and trends.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key performance indicators and operational insights.
• Evaluate capital expenditure requests, performing ROI and payback period analyses for new equipment and facility investments.
• Analyze product profitability, pricing strategies, and customer segment performance to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, turns, and obsolescence to optimize working capital and minimize waste.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing variances.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting for production environments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial and operational data extraction.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and financial report generation.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights into manufacturing operations.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and production processes.
• Experience with capital expenditure analysis for plant and equipment investments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
