Salary Range: $51,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment for precision part manufacturing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining specifications.
• Load and unload workpieces, ensuring proper fixturing, alignment, and secure clamping.
• Adjust machine parameters, such as power, pulse duration, and gap voltage, to optimize cutting performance and surface finish.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to verify part conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and process deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on EDM machines, including electrode changes, filter replacements, and dielectric fluid management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures and ability to perform in-process inspections.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machine issues and routine preventative maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for electrode design or programming.
• Proficiency in operating CMMs or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Background in tool and die making, mold making, or precision grinding.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
