Position Requirements

• Internship will begin in February 2026 and end in May 2026 . There could be opportunity for an extension based on the needs of the business.
• Location for this role will be in Troy, MI.
• Travel to Ultium Cells (UC1) Warren, OH will be required during the 1 st week to provide onboarding which expenses will be covered during the travel training period.
• Expect a Monday-Friday schedule
• $20.00 per hour

Ultium Cells Overview

Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world's largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.

We are actively searching for Finance Specialist Internship candidate to join the Finance Department in Troy, MI. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with significant finance projects, Tax Audits, contributing directly to the company's objectives and gaining in-depth knowledge of the battery cell manufacturing business.

Internship Responsibilities

• Participating in significant finance and tax projects, ensuring contributions are meaningful and impactful.
• Analyzing financial data to assist in decision-making processes and support business objectives.
• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of our core business operation - battery cell production - and enhancing analytics skills through the use of established financial tools.
• Working collaboratively with the finance team on various tasks, including but not limited to, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Learning and applying financial principles in real-world scenarios, with the opportunity to work on-site and remotely, subject to managerial approval.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Finance, Accounting, or related degree program, or a recent graduate.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and collaborating with team members.
• Analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt to changing financial landscapes.
• Availability for a flexible work schedule, accommodating occasional demands outside the standard work hours.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve shared goals.
