Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg experience required License: Michigan RN License required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Experience in Level II or I Trauma Description: Client has implemented a strict attendance policy to advocate for patient safety. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. This policy emphasizes accountability to uphold quality care. The unit consists of a diverse patient population, including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke care. It is a challenging environment that offers great learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses. Nursing on this unit is centered on patient safety and quality care to achieve positive outcomes. Team members contribute to providing excellent, evidence-based, and holistic patient care. There is an active and engaged council that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment. New team members receive support during orientation as they grow in their professional practice. The team employs clinical pathways and patient education, ensuring all aspects of care are addressed. Effective communication and collaboration among the interdisciplinary care team are key to delivering quality care. Nurses are encouraged to demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge and serving as clinical resources.
