The ITM Specialist/Finance Information Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of solution-oriented financial systems applications for GDLS Finance utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) technologies. This is an operational role with the opportunity to grow in responsibility through demonstrated technical and problem-solving ability. Responsibilities:
- Support financial applications including Direct Planning (Current Estimate & Operating Plan), Cash Forecasting, Actual Rates, Overhead Submission, Forward Pricing, and Indirect Budget.
- Prepare all applications for business activities including scenario preparation, loading data files, running calculation scripts, reconciling and verifying data, troubleshooting, implementing enhancements, and assisting with end-user reporting.
- Maintain all aspects of application security including group provisioning, user additions/deletions and performing security audits.
- Manage all IT SOX activities related to the Direct Planning application including system access, change control procedures, and operations.
- Perform DRM (Data Relationship Management) administration activities as necessary to manage compliance with GDLS data governance policies.
- Develop and update desk instructions and system documentation as required to facilitate operational support across FIS team members.
- Develop/revise user training materials and conduct training as necessary to support end-users.
- Partner with Finance teams to define requirements of application enhancements and production support.
- Assist FIS team members in the development, design, testing and implementation of technical solutions including the definition of use cases and expected results.
- Work with the FIS team to create and improve business and operational processes.
- Monitor system operations and performance through review and analysis of logs. Coordinate with GDIT & GDLS resources as required to resolve system issues and minimize downtime.
- B.S. in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years as an application developer or system administrator (financial applications preferred)
- 2+ years experience with Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Reporting applications
- 2+ years experience with reporting tools (e.g. Smart View, Cognos, OAS or equivalent)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to successfully coordinate activities across cross-functional teams
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive working relationships with customers and peers
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and research skills
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- Ability to successfully organize unstructured problems to achieve resolution
- Strong documentation/technical writing experience
- Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:
- Oracle Hyperion Planning 11.2x or Oracle EPM Cloud
- Oracle Hyperion Essbase 11.x or 21c (BSO/ASO)
- Oracle Hyperion DRM 11.2x or Oracle EDM
- Oracle Smart View
- Oracle EPM + Reporting Suite tools
- Oracle PL/SQL
- IT SOX audit experience
- Prior financial analysis experience
