Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all activities of the service department, ensuring quality service and high productivity.
• Manage and control department spending
• Quote repairs for customers and internal departments
• Manage workloads & follow up on job status as necessary
• Participate in branch meetings
• Recruit, train, coach & develop top talent, performance management for all service department staff
• Maintain workflow efficiency and enforce company standards
• Oversee scheduling, inventory, vendor relations, and P&L
• Forecast department goals and objectives and strive to meet them.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, encouraging repeat and referral business.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and according to dealership's guidelines.
• Follow the safety policy and ensure a clean work environment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of related management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the heavy truck market.
• Must possess good Customer service skills.
• A confident, positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to solve problems and think outside the box
