R&D Landscape is a growing landscape company serving Mid-Michigan with lawn maintenance, landscape construction, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and snow management services. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to help maintain our fleet and equipment while supporting the continued growth of our operations. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and landscape equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, mowers, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, gasoline, and electrical systems.
- Maintain repair records and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate repairs and parts ordering as needed.
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with snow equipment maintenance during winter operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Previous mechanical repair experience required.
- Experience with fleet vehicles, landscape equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, or small engines preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Chauffeur's License preferred.
- DOT Medical Card preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift tools, equipment, and repair components.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the day.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
