Phlebotomist
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves drawing patient blood samples, processing, and properly packaging them for dispatch to a medical testing site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling blood draws and coordinating sample pickups and shipments.
Responsibilities- Draw patient blood samples 25-45 times per day.
- Process and package samples accurately.
- Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.
- Schedule the pickup and shipping of samples to the medical testing site.
- Commit fully to the assigned schedule of Monday through Friday, with shifts from 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm.
- Proficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.
- Experience in specimen collection and processing.
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.
- Certification or certificate in Phlebotomy or as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to perform 200 plus solo blood draws.
- Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors for multiple tube collections.
- High School Diploma required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- No time off permitted in the next 90 days.
This position is located in Farmington hills . You will be working in an outpatient setting, providing valuable hands-on phlebotomy experience. The work environment includes both stationary and float positions with opportunities for raises at six months. The team onsite consists of about 15 people, though you may work with a smaller team of 0-3 people when offsite.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington Hills, MI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
