Vacation Rental Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a motivated leader to oversee our vacation rental operations, including reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and property care. This role combines strategy with hands-on involvement—you’ll keep daily operations running smoothly while refining systems, resolving escalated issues, and supporting long-term growth.
The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy problem-solving, know how to bring out the best in a team, and build strong relationships with property owners, guests, and staff—delivering seamless operations, exceptional service, and lasting results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and support a cross-functional team across reservations, maintenance, property care, and housekeeping—jumping in to help and modeling high standards of work.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, vendor coordination, seasonal readiness, and responding to urgent issues.
- Ensure smooth guest and homeowner experiences through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, attention to detail, and delivery of 5-star service and hospitality.
- Track workflows and help the team work efficiently, making practical adjustments where needed.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to stay aligned on priorities, updates, and operational decisions.
- Contribute to improvements in operations by learning through hands-on experience and observing daily processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, preferably in vacation rental, property management, or hospitality operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Hands-on, results-driven problem solver who thrives under pressure and takes initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with staff, owners, and guests.
- Tech-savvy with experience in property management systems (PMS) or similar operational software.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond to urgent operational needs as required.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and collaborative—comfortable wearing multiple hats while leading a team.
Other Requirement
- Availability on weekends and occasional participation in company events outside regular hours.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting objects up to 25lbs regularly (up to 50lbs occasionally).
- Comfortable spending periods at a desk working on a computer.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $60,000 - $74,000 based on experience

Schedule:
Typically Thursday–Monday (Tues/Wed off) or Wednesday–Sunday (Mon/Tue off), with weekends as the busiest days.
Willingness to work overtime during peak season; more flexible time off during the off-season.
