What You'll Do:

• Inspect the Outside Plant contractors' work in progress to ensure the contract specifications are followed and that exceptions are noted.
• Report discrepancies between the contract specifications and the job performed by the contractor to the supervisor or Project Resident.
• Complete daily work reports ("Field Observation Report")
• Complete weekly progress reports listing materials and quantities used; monitor inventory and review material shipped to the job site.
• “Redline” construction prints and prepare "as built" records by revising drawings to reflect field changes using staking sheets and schematics
• Upon completion of the job, revise cable schematics, recording the as-built changes; submit fiber-loss reports, cable schematics, and final as-built records.
• Complete final inspection to audit the completed project and the clean-up.
• Survey, verify, and locate existing telecom utilities (if required); verify existing plant by using a cable location device.
• Within the project area, map the road and all structures in the subject area and stake the proposed telecom facility path and locations.
• During construction, revise staking sheets to include added facilities as work is completed, listing all the required information.
• Review updated staking sheets for accuracy and submit to the supervisor

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Must be able to work independently, travel weekly to the job site as needed, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a substance abuse screening test.

Work Schedule:

• Standard schedule: Monday-Thursday (10-hour shifts), with occasional variations based on project needs.
