Location: Wyoming, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Onsite)
About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional with a passion for heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and mechanical repair? If so, we want you to join our team as a Purchasing Agent ! In this role, you'll be responsible for evaluating and acquiring a range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment, from dismantling and repairing to resale in as-is condition. You'll play a key part in making informed purchasing decisions that align with company goals, all while coordinating logistics and managing vendor relationships.
What You'll Be Doing:

Review equipment submissions from a variety of sources - including vendors, tow facilities, insurance appraisers, and auction platforms.

Assess equipment viability from photos, reports, and available documentation, and make purchasing decisions based on company needs (parts, repair, or resale).

Work with transportation teams to ensure equipment is delivered to the right place at the right time.

Ensure compliance with Michigan and out-of-state title regulations to keep things running smoothly.

Maintain clear and professional communication with vendors, partners, and internal teams to make the process as seamless as possible.
What We're Looking For:

Working knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, automobiles, and various types of machinery.

Relevant experience in mechanical repair, body work, insurance, or a related field preferred.

Ability to accurately evaluate the condition of equipment based on photos and written reports.

Strong decision-making abilities and excellent organizational skills to keep everything in check.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - you'll need to connect with internal teams and external partners regularly.
You'd Be a Great Fit If You Have:

Experience as an Insurance Claims Adjuster for commercial/heavy equipment
-
A background in the Purchasing Agent role within the heavy equipment or automotive industry

Hands-on experience in maintenance of heavy equipment
