Bookkeeper

Organization Summary

Smart Homes / Smart Offices designs, installs, and services seamlessly integrated Computer, Network, Lighting, Security, HVAC control and A/V systems for commercial and residential customers.

Smart Offices performs on-site Audio / Video Systems installations, computer equipment repair, network configuration and software support primarily in the State of Michigan.

Purpose of the Position

The team member will update financial records, process transactions, and manage reporting of accounts payable and receivable.

Major Functions

• Perform and monitor Bank Deposits
• Track and reconcile company credit card usage.
• Maintain accurate order and invoice records
• Prepare checks and payments for approval
• Answering phone calls related to invoicing and payments.
• Sending updated invoice reminders to aging accounts.
• Additional accounting projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Essential Job Requirements

• Excellent professional written and verbal communication
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred
• General computer skills, working with Office Suite, email, etc.
• Strong organizational and logistic understanding
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Data entry/typing
• Punctuality

Pay range is dependent on experience.

Overtime is not expected, but may be approved on an as-needed basis.

Schedule:

• 8 to 9 hour shifts
• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

License:

• Driver (Required)
