MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a Plastic Grinder Operator to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you'll operate machinery to grind plastic scrap into reusable materials, maintain a clean and safe work area, and help support MMI's sustainability efforts. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will ensure high-quality recycled materials and efficient operations.

Shift Schedule : Monday-Friday 10:00pm - 6:00am

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plastic grinding machinery to reduce the size of plastic waste and scrap.

• Monitor the grinding process to ensure machines are functioning properly and achieving desired results.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures when operating machinery.

• Maintain and clean grinding machines and surrounding work areas.

• Load materials into the machine, adjust machine settings as needed, and unload ground material.

• Identify and load the PADNOS recycling trailer with only allowable materials.

• Contribute to sustainability efforts by efficiently recycling plastic waste.

• Support team members with work-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in machine operation or plastic grinding preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.

• Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.

Work Environment & Expectations:

• Hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.

• Standing for extended periods in areas that may be hot, noisy, or dusty.

• Operation and maintenance of grinding machinery.
