Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support manufacturing operations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and high-quality materials.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with production, planning, and engineering teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing function.
• Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including material shortages, price fluctuations, and quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management for raw materials and components.
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced analytical skills for cost optimization and inventory control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced e-procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
• Certification or practical experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience in international sourcing and global supply chain logistics.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis.
