Applications Development Scientist

As the Formulation Scientist, you will…
Lead the development and optimization of new formulations to create innovative products for diverse applications.
Collaborate with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to ensure the formulation and product development efforts align with customer needs and market trends.
Conduct technical evaluations of raw materials, particularly hydrocolloids and pectins, to understand their functional properties and identify opportunities to enhance product performance.
Use your technical expertise to translate complex scientific principles into practical product applications, ensuring customers fully understand the benefits of the products.
Provide technical support to the sales team, helping them address customer challenges and optimizing the use of our products in real-world applications.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation such as product specifications, formulation guides, and data sheets, communicating the science and functionality behind the products clearly and effectively.
Stay on top of the latest industry trends and technologies, including emerging ingredients and new processing methods, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of innovation.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, building relationships with key stakeholders and sharing your expertise in formulation and product development.
To be considered for the Formulation Scientist role, you will have…
A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
4+ years of technical experience in product development and formulation, preferably in the food industry.
Experience with hydrocolloids and pectins a plus
A strong understanding of the FDA, USDA, FSIS regulations, GMPs, and SOPs related to product development.
Proven experience with functional ingredients, product development processes, and relevant processing equipment.
